With more than 16 years in the business, Grupo W develops intranet and web media through software, applications and institutional and promotional websites for leading national and international companies. Bringing together creativity and results, the group serves more than 400 customers and has many successful case studies with well-known companies such as Coca-Cola, BRF, PepsiCo, Microsoft, Vivo and Chevrolet, among others.
After almost two decades working in the area of Internet development, Grupo W has become one of the most respected companies in this niche market and, since its founding, it has offered its customers the best in technology to keep their services up and running 24/7.
The data used to be stored in international servers, however, in recent years, the company started to experience data latency problems with the contracted services, which prompted Grupo W administrators to look for a national partner to deliver the same level of quality they were accustomed to.
After conducting market research, Grupo W approached Optidata Cloud Solutions to initially store the data of its customer Beto Carrero World. However, a few months later, after recognizing the success of the partnership and the proven quality of the services provided, the company, as a whole, opted to migrate all its data to Optidata's national cloud, as Adriano Marcolin, director and partner-owner of Grupo W explains:
“ We were interested in bringing the data we manage for our customers to Brazil to avoid latency problems and avoid having to deal with fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate. In this way, as the partnership with our customer, Beto Carrero, was already doing very well, we opted to use Optidata as the official server for all the data of the more than 400 customers that we manage.”
With the partnership agreement signed and total synergy between the two companies achieved, the process of migrating the data of more than 400 customers occurred in a simple and efficient manner, taking just one month and, due to the experience of those involved in this procedure, not one customer felt the change, thanks to the intense monitoring work of both parties
“Optidata undertook a technical study to evaluate all the requirements for the successful migration of more than 400 Grupo W customers. Prior to this, all the systems were hosted physically in the US. With the migration to Optidata's cloud structure in Brazil, we were able to increase data access speed for these customers, improving aspects such as redundancy and availability,” says Darlan Segalin, CEO of Optidata.
Currently, Group W uses a structure composed of two Optidata cloud servers, where the customer has full autonomy for data management and receives the support of a specialized team to ensure that the data flow does not suffer any variations or significant problems.
"With Optidata, we found a server in Brazil that was able to maintain the same level of service and quality that we previously received from one of the largest international companies in the business," says Marcolin.
For Grupo W, the principal benefits are the continued high standard of its services and the delivery of absolute accuracy to its customers, with the added security of having all the data stored in Brazil.
“From the very beginning, Optidata provided us with great service, offering fast and simple service, and providing us all the support needed to deliver the best to our customers. There is nothing to complain about," the partner-owner of Group W adds.
